As a caregiver with us, you'll be instrumental in providing personalized care and support to our clients within the comfort of their own homes. Before being considered for a caregiving role, applicants are placed into our database to ensure the best possible match with our clients. Following a comprehensive screening process, we'll pair you with clients based on your availability and skill set.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance, and medication reminders.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Foster social interaction and emotional well-being by engaging clients in meaningful activities and companionship.
  • Keep track of changes in clients' health status or behavior and report them promptly to the supervising nurse or care manager.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided, including progress notes, care plans, and incident reports.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a genuine passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is highly desirable, though we also welcome individuals with a strong willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with clients, families, and team members.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are key attributes we seek.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and respect for the dignity and privacy of clients at all times are non-negotiable.

Screening Process:
Interested candidates for caregiver positions at Virtuous Nurses Homecare must undergo a thorough screening process to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. This process includes:

  • Initial Application: Submission of a detailed application form outlining relevant experience, qualifications, and personal information.
  • In-person Interview or Zoom (if 45 miles from our Marlborough location): A face-to-face interview with our hiring manager to discuss skills, experience, and suitability for the role.
  • Background Check: A comprehensive background check, including criminal history, employment verification, and driving record checks.
  • References: Providing contact information for three professional references who can vouch for the candidate's character, work ethic, and suitability for a caregiving role.
